NOTICE

2014 unpaid taxes will be going to lien sometime the 2nd or 3rd week of May.  Date is dependent upon availability of clerk and attorney's assistant to schedule time to prepare for filing at the Registry of Deeds.

To avoid the additional fees of a tax lien (which is approximately $65.00), and further accruing interest, taxes will need to be paid in full prior to the date the lien is placed at the Franklin County Registry of Deeds.

Partial payments will not prevent the process of a tax lien.

Tax liens will not be placed the first week of May so that is a prime opportunity to schedule to make your payment.

The Town Office also accepts credit/debit card payments with cost of processing assigned to the customer.

~Susan Anneley, Town Clerk/Tax Collector

It is Spring, with Spring comes mud.  A lot of snow this past winter, maintaining safe roads during winter months, and deep frost help contribute to muddy roads when temperatures begin to rise.  For the next few weeks gravel roads are going to be muddy, soft, and hard to travel.  We will do our best to keep traffic moving.  If you live on a gravel road, plan your trips, the less they are traveled the more passable they will stay.  When weather conditions co-operate we will patch muddiest areas the best we can.
